Digital White Phone Gap

We are pleased to announce that we have created our first hybrid Web App to be deployed as a Native App in both iOS and Android environments.

This paves the way for our development team to be able to code just one App and, with the additional tools provided by the PhoneGap framework, deploy it on multiple devices without re-coding it over and over again, giving our clients huge benefits in terms of cutting their development costs.

Digital White iPad Hotel and airlines

At Digital White we have been watching with interest the continued roll out of tablets across the hospitality and airline industries. Recently American Airlines have announced they will be giving First Class Passengers use of tablets. They are not the first airline to show interest in integrating tablets into their services with JetStar, Air NewZealand and Air Baltic all trialing iPads.

In the hospitality industry numerous hotel groups have been looking into rolling out iPads for customer use or to increase staff productivity. The Intercontinental Hotel Group has researched whether the gadgets would make hotel staff more versatile to the needs of customers.

This is an important development for a number of reasons. Firstly it cements that tablet computers’ uses are continually expanding, as airlines and hotels alike ‘go digital’… It will be interesting to see which sectors of the industry are next. Secondly it is another step in the shifting emphasis towards mobile technology, which shows no sign of dampening. Finally it is an opportunity for innovation and creativity within the application industry. It’s a good thing that it’s what Digital White does best!

The Apprentice Make it Appen

The Twitter buzz around this week’s episode of The Apprentice was appsolutely huge. The whole episode focused on apps, which shows how popular mobile apps are getting. Alan Sugar pointed this out when he commented “Business wise right now, this is pretty much where it’s at”.

With mobile apps getting increasingly popular, it is no surprise that using them for enterprise will be the next big thing. Luckily for us, it seems we are ahead of the game by launching our new service: enterprise iPad apps.

Our enterprise iPad apps offer B2E (business to employee) apps to the workforce and are designed specifically according to your business’ needs from cutting costs and uploading inspiring brochurewear to monitoring the effectiveness of a sales team. They allow you to design apps in-house easily and cheaply and we guide you through the process and ensure the investment you make in your app produces a definable ROI.
